Published: August 8, 2013 at 4:29 PMJeff, how can you forget that tomorrow is the big Disney day? Let's hope that they finally announce their plans to cancel Star Wars Land in favor of Muppets Land to promote next year's obvious Academy Award winning masterpiece.
Published: August 8, 2013 at 5:04 PMI've only been on one Alpine/Mountain Coaster, at Mountain Creek here in Joisey. This one in the Smokies looks like a heckuva lot more fun. Brake? Whazzat?
Loved the Simpsons video. But how do you shoot that video and not even show Moe's?
S'matta, Jeff? No love for the BBW chick, Natalie? You didn't even mention her!!! Actually, I was a Jo guy. I had a real-life crush on Molly Ringwald, but she was gone before I watched the show.
Oh, and Maryann. Hey, it's still a relevant question.
Published: August 8, 2013 at 6:10 PMA few years back we did a walk back tour at SFStL and there were deer hanging out underneath the Boss coaster (and yeah, it was running). So maybe they do have a bit of a problem?
Published: August 8, 2013 at 6:13 PMSo, the KI rumblings that I've heard include Flight Deck being re-named as The Bat with Banshee as the new coaster name. We shall find out at 10:00 PM tonight!

Published: August 9, 2013 at 8:00 AMMelissa, am I the only person who still remembers The Bat and how much trouble they had with it? I'm rather proud of the fact that I seem to be one of the few people who actually rode it! It was constantly down for repairs during its too-brief existence at KI. Wouldn't renaming Flight Deck "The Bat" be like renaming the Ford Ranger "The Edsel"?
Published: August 9, 2013 at 11:14 AM"Good grief" was my reaction to the "Muppets Most Wanted" trailer. Disney has killed the Muppets a while ago with that awful TV special based on the Wizard of Oz. Why ruin and whore it even more?
Published: August 9, 2013 at 12:17 PMLOL, James! My first visit to KI in 8th grade was a few years after The Bat was demolished, so I never had the chance to experience it. I do remember all of the rumors circulating at school about guests supposedly dying on the ride, however. One of those urban legends that adds to the intrigue of the ride, I guess. Shear marketing/merchandising intentions as well as a throwback to The Bat's short-lived heyday would be the only reasons why Cedar Fair would consider such an idea.
Published: August 10, 2013 at 3:02 PMShame. The teasers for the first Muppets were pure genius.
