I really wish they had built a boutique hotel inside the castle in Shanghai. Build the castle so that it could have like 50 or 100 hotel rooms in it. They could have charged any amount they wanted to sleep in there. But logistically I don't know how they would have pulled it off. They would have had to have had a secret tunnel or something leading to an exit so people staying in the hotel could come and go when the park was closed. But, just imagine being able to rent a room and sleep in the central castle in a Disney park.
That would be like the Cinderella Suite in Orlando, but it would actually be something you could rent instead of just hope to win some day.
I'm really excited to see what they do with the castle in Shanghai and if the rumored boat ride and meet-and-greet will be inside it...and if it will have a restaurant too. So great that they are making the park's icon a functioning attraction instead of the way it's only had limited use in the past.
So glad I found Theme Park Insider. I feel more informed about what's going on in Disney than ever before and Robert's articles especially are so well-written.
