As much as I like a good, narrative coaster, it gets trumped by a good, narrative darkride any day of the week.

If what folks have said about Mystic Manor is true, and it is the best theme park attraction in the world, Disney needs to clone it here in the US immediately, if not sooner. Maybe by winning this prestigious tournament, Disney will get the hint?

I haven't paid too much attention to the tournament, but where was Forbidden Journey? I don't remember seeing it in any bracket.

Mystic Manor is just stunning. Absolutely stunning.

I'd love to see it be cloned with a few changes at the US parks in time:

(1) In California, build it at DCA on Paradise Pier (take out as many of the off-the-shelf rides over there as needed). It could be rethemed to a "Museum of the Weird", with a collection of oddities from around the world on the pier.

(2) In Florida, put it at DAK and theme it to the Adventurers Club. Have all the objects be related to mythical and magical animals from around the world and use the ride to introduce the mythical creatures to the park that are largely missing.

Seriously people, Just because Mystic Manor has trackless ride vehicles does not make it the ride I would travel across the world for. Granted I have not ridden it (only watched it).... and you are welcome to defend it.... but I just am amazed that it beat Journey to the Center and is now beating Grizzly which are both rides that are so visually impressive just to see.... I imagine they both make a great impact on the park even from a distance... and they are both rides that I seriously wish were closer or here in the states. The whole ride experience on both of them looks so impressive. I can't really say Mystic Manor blew my hair back, and I am NOT an adrenaline junkie.... I'm not one of those the biggest fastest etc. is what I want so I can brag about having done it to my friends people. So.... what gives.... why is Mystic Manor so great?!? Do tell......

Mystic Manor with a subtle change to the Adventurers Club would work great in Animal Kingdom. A perfect setting.

To the previous poster... as someone who has been on all the rides you mentioned, Mystic Manor is definitely fantastic. 100% the better attraction than Grizzly (not that Grizzly is bad) and arguably a more complete experience than Journey. That said Journey/Mysterious island is a wonder to behold and fantastic in its own right, albeit I find the plotting is a little fast paced and jarring. Depending on the day I'd maybe give Journey the nod as an overall thematic right (with thrills), but for dark ride elements alone I give it to Mystic Manor.
