And Sea World and busch will follow suit. The good thing about those parks is that right now they have so many different deals, you cant go wrong....you can get 7 days I think at Universal for 85 bucks, And Sea World usually has a deal where you buy a day and get the year free.

Good Lord, I'm glad I bought the annual pass before the prices went up. Does anyone out there think that the parking prices will rise too? I know the other theme parks will follow suit too, i give it a month. I noticed last year that when gen.admission prices went up, parking went up a dollar.

If you want Disney magic, you will cough up the cash! Really, who buys one day tickets anyway? I am a Passholder and if you live in the Central Florida area, you probably own one of these and really don't worry too much about single or multi day ticket prices. Parking, however, is off the HOOK! It has gone up I think close to $5 at USF since 2003. Disney is going up too! That adds another $75-$100 to a vacation if you have your own car. That makes staying on site and using park transportation very attractive!

$71....for that you can wait in long lines in the hot Florida sun, give even more blood for food and drink, listen to screaming kids and parents who often act worse than their children. You will ride a few decent rides, and maybe get to see Mickey. But wait thats not all folks. Do you want a complete park experience?? Just three more payments of $71 and you can visit all of our parks which we have purposefully divided up to collect more of your money and capitalize on your illusion that we are the greatest place on Earth. Sorry folks, you can have it all as far as I'm concerned.

Lets see 71.00 bucks a day! Well there better be a whole lotta Magic for it...But on second thought who cares..I live a total 13 miles form the place and have been a grand total of 4 times in the past 8 yrs..ANd still prefere USF were my anual pass is a total of 107.00 and I get a second year free..Discounts on food, gift, free parking..and discount admission for my guests..And my Cypress Gardens pass 59.99 for 1 yr. So Im way ahead of the curve..Thanks for playing...

Whenever this happens, as a Central Florida resident, I cross my fingers and whisper a quiet prayer. Rather than flinch or disparage the company for pumping up the price, I hope the people keep coming. The added revenue protects jobs and benefits.

Also -- because sales tax on the tickets is percentage based -- the increase generates more revenue for Orange and Osceola counties.

Ummmmm...Mark....Ironically I just bought a one day-one park ticket to Animal Kingdom just 3 minutes ago :) . I guess the price jump starts tomorrow cause it only cost(florida resident price) $68.06 and that was with tax. Not bad...I finally talked my husband into going to Animal Kingdom and he doesnt have the annual pass like I do, so the one day-one park ticket seemed to fit right in.

We've become an entertainment addicted society and so as a result, the price of entertainment will continue to rise. Think about it, I have a family of four and so the movies the other day cost me $32 for two hours of time, dinner will typically cost $50, and mini golf just cost me $40 the other day. I'm not saying that Disney is not worth the bucks but let's face it, playtime is becoming a very expensive endeavor.

Well this kind of stinks. I am going to Orlando in October and I was going to buy a One-Day Park hopper (I've been multiple times and there are only a few things in each park we enjoy). Now I wish I had done it earlier rather than later. I realize that this is Disney World, the theme park of all theme parks, but I can buy a Cedar Fair MAXX pass at my local park (Worlds of Fun) for $75 if I buy before November of each year. If I ever have kids going to Orlando is going to be one mighty expensive trip.

$4 isn't going to prevent me from going, I just think it is ridiculous that WDW has been raising prices an average of every 14 months according to most of the Orlando travel books I have read, whereas USF has had the same 2 Park/2 Day pass deal online since about 2003.

Until folks stop going to Disney, they will raise prices every year.

I am sure if their attendance was down by 10% then they would offer many specials.

With an additional $4.00 per ticket they are probably offsetting all of the affordably Disney commercials I see daily…………. “$1600, we can do that.”

I really don't see the issue when the average annual rate of inflation overall is around 5%.
WDW is a business.
