Still, I sounds freaky! If I am not mistaken, there is a similar death in the accidents section about somebody getting struck by a roller coaster (a worker)

There have been several examples of park employees being struck, and, yes, killed, when standing in restricted areas while coasters were running.

Expect directives reminding park employees (at Disney and elsewhere) of their training regarding restricted areas.

That really sucks…. I feel badly for her family…

I have been on this ride several times last May; my daughter loves this ride…

Lock Out Tag Out. Seems pretty simple. No energizing the ride while employees are in the restricted area. It's a shame someone was injured, but it has to be due to someone not following procedures.

I really feel bad for the family...my prayers are with them. I just hope others use this situation and learn to stay out of restricted areas during ride operation. Its a real tragedy.

Oh my God! We just returned from Disney world. We were at the animal kingdom on Wed. the 21st. We came home Monday the 26th after spending 2weeks there. I heard nothing about this while there. How sad. The employees of Disney are always so nice. She could have put us on that ride. I just rode it with my kids twice last week! you just never know. Live every day like it was your last.
Most important ( my dad suddenly died from a heart attack at age 53 when I was 9.) speak to every person like it is your last time you will talk to them. Never leave anything unsaid or that you will regret.

On Thursday, an elderly man slipped and fell in the Magic Kingdom and later passed away. What a terrible week it was.
