Yeah, technically it's been 6, but that's thanks to WDW and Universal Studios Orlando. I rarely visit my "hometown" park, Wonderland, anymore, although Cedar Fair took over and they are introducing a new coaster this summer - Behemoth. Might be worth a trip.

OK don't laugh at what we consider visits.
During the "normal" year
Discovery Kingdom,
Great America
Santa Cruz Boardwalk
Gilroy Gardens
Hershey Park
Cal Expo(our ACE event)
Then on our vacation we flew to Vegas
and rode:
Manhattan Express at NYNY
CanyonBlaster at Circus Circus
Speed the Ride at Sahara
(Stratosphere rides were closed from high winds)
Then drove to stateline & rode Desperado(6 times in a row)
Drove to Knotts
Drove to Magic Mountain
That vacation was 26 different coasters in 6 days

My two local ones:
Six Flags St. Louis
Worlds of Fun

Two parks during other trips:
Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags New England

My annual solo theme park vacation last year over 6 days to:
Kennywood
Geauga Lake
Cedar Point
Kings Island

In the past year, just five: the four WDW parks and Hersheypark. Ask me in a year and it should be 8 -- the previous five, plus BGE, Disneyland, and DCA.

Well, I only got 4 this year, but thats ok for me. I ususally avrage that, so i'm not disappointed. I only got KD, Hershey, BGE, and SFA. I'm glad I got to 4 different companies though. THAT'S AWESOME!

I'm shocked at how high these results are. I mean, I average maybe between 0-1 a year, typically. Every few years, an Orlando trip boosts that, and that's because my buddy owns a Disney Vacation Property so I get free lodging.

It's a shame we have such expensive hobbies.

In May of last year we did the whole Orlando scene....two full weeks of glorious theme park Heaven. Oh yeah, and we hit our local Cedar Fair park, Worlds of Fun (yippee).

Next month we'll add BGE to the mix and we should be hitting Six Flags St Louis once they get their new woody built (Great Coasters International, Inc., RULES!).

Next year we'll be headed back to Branson for Silver Dollar City & Celebration City, and we might take a jaunt to Pigeon Forge and hit Dollywood as it has been a few years since we visited.

Then, in 2010, after all the new coasters are added and the Space Mt. refurb is done - we go back to Orlando! We should even get a taste of the new Harry Potter land at IOA....just be careful in the dark rides and watch out for "Backdoor" Dumbledore!

2011 should be Disneyland (after the 1.2 billion in DCA work is done), then in 2012 when my kids can finally ride all 17 coasters, we head back to Cedar Point.

Then the Mayan calendar runs out and the world ends. But that's okay cause at that point I will die as a very happy, contented, and POOR man.

Last year it was 15 different parks, but that was an exception. We did a family road trip in August in which we hit 13 parks in three weeks - think Griswold family vacation. This year it will only be our local park at Valleyfair.
