When looking at the pictures of the ride, the theming is very dull compared to the artist's renderings.

Reality television shows are difficult to convert into successful theme park attractions(especially rides),the only exception I've seen to date is Fear Factor at USF.

Naming this ride after Survivor has got to be one of the worst ideas in theme park history. What could they have been thinking here. The Zamperla Disko has absolutely nothing in common with, and nothing to do with Survivor. Paramount has a knack for sometimes slapping one of their brands on a ride that really has no merit. Some of the Kings Island rides are a stretch. Face Off really has nothing to do with the movie, but the riders do face each other on the coaster. Congo Falls...nothing to do with the movie Congo, but ok. Renaming the Beastie the Fairly Odd Coaster is a stretch to the last thread, but to go with the Nickelodeon theme...I guess so.

The Survivor "theme" though, is quite lame. They would have been better off naming it spinnarooni. What possible ties could they have come up with. I bet I can tell you how many. It's just a feeble attempt to crosspromote. Not much has changed for Great America..they still seem to be getting the short end of the stick from Paramount.
