This year i went to SFGAM Fright Fest two times, both times on Fridays. When I went on Fridays it wasn't too busy and the longest wait for any ride seemed to be about 1/2 hr with some popular rides like Raging Bull/Viper even shorter (15 minutes). This year the decorations seemed much better than past years. The decorated the Sky Tower to make it appear as if it was on fire and put a King Kong type ape on top of it. They added lights to American Eagle and also added to sounds to Giant Drop (renamed Hellavtor for the event)when the ride was going up or down. I didn't go to the haunted houses (which arent part of the admission price) so I can't say if they were good but reports werent that good. I thought the characters in the park were good as was the walk thru Necroplis(it at least scared my daughter's who are 11 and 6yrs old). They also had Superstitions in the simulator ride and my kids enjoyed the Love at First Fright Show.

All in all it was the end of a good year of visitng theme parks and its always nice(maybe from my midwest upbrining)to ride a coaster when it is in the upper 30's/lower 40's, the cold has a much different feel than the heat of summer!!

So what was your experience if you visited SFGAM or any park for a halloween event.

Im a big!!! cedar point fan, been there six times this year.I thought id try six flags in gurnee Ill one time. So I went for fright fest and was very disappointed.I guess i might be spoiled going from steak to hamberger, but the best ride that park has going for it is the raging bull. that ride was awesome, but no comparrision to millinium force.I went to halloweekend at the point also and it was scary and great sorry six flags but cedar point is the worlds rockin roller coaster. p.s.the superman ride was not worth all the hype!!!
