Dollywood Announces Plans to Add 10 New RidesDollywood: The expansion will be part of a renovation to the "Country Fair" themed area for 2005.

Dollywood announced that it will add ten new rides as part of a renovation to the "Country Fair" themed area for 2005. Posted October 4, 2004 at 6:20 PM The rides will increase the area's capacity by 2,000 riders per hour. They include a mix of traditional favorites and unique experiences that are brand new to the industry including a 70-foot high airplane-style ride in which passengers are involved in creating their own flight experience. Some of the older attractions currently located in the "Country Fair" area will be removed to make way for the new rides. One of the attractions to be removed is believed to be the Country Fair Falls log flume, which has been on the property since 1968. You can read more in the Chattanoogan article:
