When Will Sheikra Open?
Busch Gardens Tampa: When will Busch Gardens Tampa unveil the latest coaster?
Yet another question.....Sheikra is going to be all time. Anyone know any exact dates when its going to open? The site says spring. Screamscape said May. And of course no one at the park will say a word.
I was there Februaru 7th and the sign at the park said May 2005. But it looked like they still had a ways to go. The track was only half completed.
And they still have to finish the splash zone and the tunnel and all that good stuff and they are still saying may...wow
I think they will make it. Coasters are big projects, but steel coasters are like putting together a giant puzzle...plus they have extremely favorable weather conditions. If the parks in Ohio can build them in 6 months in the miserable winter weather, than Busch in Tampa should be able to as well. Barring any major screw up during fabrication or a catastrophe, they will make it.
All the talk is on BGW and Darkastle.......anymore news on the media day and pass holder previews for BGT for Sheikra?? I'm getting ancey over here:P
Some people have said that it isn't to open until next year! They still have a ton of theming to do and a large restaurant to build but i can't see it opening any later than about June-July
The public debut has already been announced as May 21, 2005. That's a little more than 2 weeks. They have been testing for a number of weeks now, and I wouldn't see why there would be any change at this point to the schedule.
