From Jason LesterSomething other than that.
Posted August 9, 2005 at 2:04 PM
Only a little while to houses are revealed!
From Nicolas Schmelterbut you said If I had something to say, They are adding 2 scare zones expanding one and taking out one
Posted August 11, 2005 at 2:37 AM
From Jason Lester2 scare zones? Awesome! Thanks for the news.
Posted August 11, 2005 at 6:10 PM
I hope that the expanding one has something do with the Swamp.
From Nicolas Schmelterbut, you also have to remember they are taking one out, you will miss it I will miss it, but what they are putting in is VERY awesome
Posted August 13, 2005 at 10:36 AM
From Jason LesterAs long as they don't take out Ghost Town. If one scare zone went, I'd have to say I'd rather see CarnEvil go. It's nothing against the talent. It's just so bright and there aren't many places to hide for monsters.
Posted August 13, 2005 at 10:52 AM
I heard a rumor about Gauntlet leaving, so I'm leaning towards that one.
From Nicolas SchmelterI don't know hehe ;-)
Posted August 14, 2005 at 4:43 PM
From Nicolas Schmelterbanner up on knott's website. go check it out!
Posted August 19, 2005 at 1:50 PM
From Suzanne THey yeah! They've got the days & hours up now! But looks like that's it - no info about the mazes or anything. Hopefully soon! =)
Posted August 19, 2005 at 6:43 PM
From Jason LesterKnott's has an awesome logo this year. Love the flash banner at the top of the page.
Posted August 20, 2005 at 10:50 AM
From Nicolas SchmelterThe mazes (as far as I know) will be posted or put up in Mid September. Sorry to be the barrer of bad news =\
Posted August 23, 2005 at 1:44 AM
From Jason LesterThat kind of sucks. i hope the date changes.
Posted August 23, 2005 at 12:40 PM
From Danny BernardThe info is up on the site now, just thought I'd let you know.
Posted August 24, 2005 at 10:25 AM
From Josh RezvaniI never went to Knott's Haloween Haunt, I heard its really scary and freaky, but not as USF/IOA's HHN, is that true?
Posted August 24, 2005 at 11:04 AM
From Nicolas SchmelterKnott's Scary Farm is MUCH scarier then USHHN etc. come over and check it out for your self hehehehe. The mazes are original the best knott's designers work on the mazes.. Haunt is the best, Hands Down
Posted August 25, 2005 at 1:56 AM
From Jason LesterMust agree. Haunt beats out every other Halloween related event I've ever atteneded. And yes, it's pretty intense, but most people can handle it. I have seen some pretty freaked out people at Haunt though.
Posted August 25, 2005 at 4:59 PM
NO!!!!! They can't take the Swamp away. Curses! And Malice is gone. Say it isn't so!
What's Cavern of Lost Souls? And when are we getting maze descriptions?
From Josh RezvaniWhat is soo scary about it?
Posted August 25, 2005 at 6:00 PM
What are the mazes??
What the the actors do????
From Jason LesterIt's more about being shocked then being scared. Nothing's really scary, but walking around in a dark room and then having some guy jump at you can be pretty startling. Also, there's not really a safe zone to get away from monsters.
Posted August 25, 2005 at 6:24 PM
The actors basically wear costumes and try to scare the hell out of you. Knott's recently released this year's mazes, but unforunately there's no descriptions. Go to knotts.com for the event info.

What's so scary about it Josh? you can't even walk through the turn stiles without being scared by a monster. You can't step 5 feet into a maze without a monster jumping out at you so you pee your pants. You can't go anywhere with out the chills up your spine knowing that every creature in the dark is watching you.
The mazes are:
What do the monsters do: They slide
From Nicolas SchmelterAlso I have seen people, pee, throw up, curl up like a ball in a corner, jump, freak out, hit monsters because they are scared, run etc.
Posted August 25, 2005 at 9:04 PM
From Nicolas Schmelter^ that's all from being scared
Posted August 25, 2005 at 9:05 PM
From Nicolas Schmelterone more maze is called Temple of Sacrifice
Posted August 25, 2005 at 9:06 PM
From Josh RezvaniDamn! I can't wait until I go there! I dont think Van Helsing could beat this! I really wanna go when does it starts and how much does it costs??!?!??!?!
Posted August 25, 2005 at 9:14 PM
From cheryl hammockWe decided to give it one more year and see if it's better this year. We are going to go earlier this year, instead of going so close the Halloween. We have been going for 16 years and it seems to have slid a little in the last few years. looking forward to the new mazes!

From Jason LesterJosh, dude, all the info you could ever need regarding Haunt is in knotts.com, which is the official site. Once you get there, scroll to Special Events on the navigation bar and click on Halloween Haunt.
Posted August 25, 2005 at 11:52 PM
It's worth every penny. Also, Nicholas can you please tell something about the new mazes? Or at least when some descriptions will be released?
I'm a bit angry frankly. Last year we got the mazes and descriptions at the same time. This year we only get show and scare zone descriptions. What's going on here man?
Also, Josh, another good Haunt site is themeparkadventure.com They have everything you want to know about Haunt.
From Nicolas SchmelterThe Knotts.com site is not complete yet. You also have to remember that we still have a month left and maze descriptions can come at any time. So there is still time for the mazes description and picture logos to be put up.
Posted August 26, 2005 at 8:51 AM
From Jason LesterYeah, I just found it a biot strange considering that last year it was all released at the same time. So are the descriptions going to be a mid-September thing?
Posted August 26, 2005 at 1:35 PM
From Nicolas SchmelterHonestly I don't know. It could be later today, tomorrow or maybe the last day before haunt starts... Just wait and see what happens
Posted August 26, 2005 at 6:14 PM
From Jason LesterOkay dude. Thanks for the info you could give.
Posted August 26, 2005 at 7:03 PM
Nicholas, where at Haunt do you work? As a monster, manager, blackout, etc.?
From Nicolas Schmelterkritter.... figure it out by the name :)
Posted August 26, 2005 at 10:50 PM
From Nicolas SchmelterI e-mailed knotts about the masze descriptions and pictures so I will give you there response soon
Posted August 26, 2005 at 11:02 PM
From Jason LesterYou're Kritter? Man, I've seen tons of your posts on the ultimatehaunt.com boards. Awesome.
Posted August 27, 2005 at 12:38 AM
And thanks in advance for the info when you do get it.
From Nicolas SchmelterI'm glad to see someone else who posts with me on Ultimate Haunr. What's your name I hope to talk to you soon
Posted August 27, 2005 at 11:08 AM
From Nicolas Schmelterand the word is Haunt not Haur, my goof
Posted August 27, 2005 at 11:09 AM
From Jason LesterActually, I just browse the boards right now although I'm going to get myself a username to post there with. I'll let you know what my name is when I get it.
Posted August 27, 2005 at 12:29 PM
From Jason LesterOkay, my usnername is
Posted August 27, 2005 at 12:35 PM
Hope to see you around the boards.
From Nicolas SchmelterLet's talk about the mazes and scare zones. What was your for Haunt 2004 (Scare Zone and Maze)? Did any of you guys catch the Hanging and how did you like it?
Posted August 28, 2005 at 11:57 AM
From Jason LesterFavorite maze was Asylum, which continues to blow my mind. But I really don't have a least favorite. Maybe Army of the Underworld, which was replaced. I know how hard some of those guys work in there, but Knott's just didn't cut them any slack.
Posted August 28, 2005 at 12:05 PM
Favorite scarezone was and will always be Ghost Town. The classic scarezone, it gets your blood pumping the minute you enter. But I give props to the Swamp. With the room they had, those scareactors really rocked making the best of a bad situation. So Ghost Town and Swamp (RIP).
The Hanging was okay, but I like the one in 2003 better. The Hanging is a pretty funny show though and I look forward to this year's. I'm kind of bummed to see Ed Alonzo gone, I loved that guy. Hopefully next year he'll be back. Nick, do you know why he's not at Haunt this year?
From Nicolas SchmelterEd Alonzo IS here this year. Dr. Cleaver will not be returning. Ed Alonzo has the big boy stage this year :)
Posted August 28, 2005 at 10:46 PM
From Jason LesterYeah, I realized I mixed up the names. I meant I was sad to see Cleaver go. Psycho Circus was cool and he rocked in the Birdcage. Ed Alonzo is funny, but I like Cleaver more.
Posted August 29, 2005 at 1:58 PM
From Nicolas Schmelterhaha, Did you see him in Birdcage theatre or the Charles M. Schulzes theatre?
Posted August 29, 2005 at 3:31 PM
From Jason LesterI saw him in the Birdcage, at least I think I did. That's the small one in Ghost Town right? The one with the period looking lobby?
Posted August 29, 2005 at 6:05 PM
From Josh RezvaniOne Question, when you guys went to the mazes, can you skip it and go to the rides in Knotts Berry Farm? Well, you see, I'm scared of people popping out and such and I really don't like that, is their other attractions in Knotts Halloween Haunt?
Posted August 29, 2005 at 7:19 PM
From Cameron RustThere probably are, but if you just like rides, you'de probably be better off to go to the park during the day or on a non-haunt day when the park is open later. The admission price is alot more expensive during haunt.
Posted August 29, 2005 at 7:20 PM
From Jason LesterI wouldn't recommend Haunt if you don't like things jumping out at you. That's what Haunt is all about and there's no safe zones in that park.
Posted August 29, 2005 at 11:35 PM
From Nicolas Schmeltergo to the rides during the day 10am closes at 5pm for preperation of haunt. Even though the park may sound like it is closed early you will get to ride each ride more then 3 times
Posted August 30, 2005 at 12:18 AM
From Jason LesterBut do remember that if you don't like scares stay far away from Haunt. There's really no way of comparing it to Van Helsing, which is completely different and much less scary.
Posted August 30, 2005 at 10:38 AM
Think that times 10 and you don't even scratch the surface of Haunt.
And so ends this topic. So long for now Haunt fans.
