Six Flags Great America: Vertical Velocity an Six Flags Great America has been closed each time I have visited the park over the past few weeks. Does anyone know when or if V2 will be reopening this season ?

Yeah, I saw that too! Its very strange!
The ride has been closed for about 1 month, ever since a bad storm went thru the area and most of the park lost power twice.
From what i have heard is the LIM motors were fryed and the ridew will be down till next year.

I visited Great America Sat. Sept 17th, and V2 was up and running! Went for two rides!
The calendar I received with my season pass listed park hours as being 'til 7pm that day. When I arrived at the park, announcenents were made saying that the park would be staying open an extra hour,'til 8pm. I got off my second ride on V2 at about 7:48pm, hoping to scurry back in line for one more ride. It was disappointing to find that all the coasters had already shut down for the night.
