Off-season ride closings at Busch Gardens Tampa?

Busch Gardens Tampa: When does BGT usually do their annual maintenance on their big rides?

If I were to visit BGT in early-to-mid December, would most of the big rides be open, or is that when they start to do their annual maintenance? I would think that they'd wait until January since Christmas is a busy time, but I don't want to get there and find a bunch of the big rides temporarily closed.

BGT, like most year round parks, do their best to limit the amount of down time each attraction has, and to make sure that they never really have more than one big ticket attraction down at a time. Unlike seasonal parks, they don't have a time when they can do everything at once, so they usually only take one attraction down at a time, and MOST year round parks, already have everything ready to go when they do, so they can do what they need to as quickly as posible so they can reopen sooner. BGT recently just restrengthened Kumba, (and it got a new paint job as well), and they just rehabed Sandstorm. Most ride closures last only a week or two. Durring December, I would more than likely predice that they would probably have one of the water rides down, as most people would not be riding a water ride in winter anyway.
