I'm planning a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure next summer. Are there any hotels in the area that provide transportation to and from the park or will I have to rent a car? Also, is two days enough time to ride all of the major rides?

I don't beleive there is any transportation. Renting a car is prob. your best bet. And two days SHOULD be enough to get in all the major rides, even if it is a crowded day. Worst case scenario lines is this; Kingda ka- 4 hours - Nitro- 2 1/2 hours, Chiller- 2 hours Rolling Thunder- walk on or up to 1 hour- BTR- 2 hours- El Toro- UNKNOWN- Freefall- one hour- Superman UF- 3 hours- GASM- walk on to one hour-- thats the usual line times on a regular summer day... they can vary though, and I dont know at what time of year you plan on going.

Well for Kingda Ka-worst case senario, it can be like 6 hours in the middle of the day on a really busy day...

There are no hotels really close to Great Adventure. You will need a car or check New Jersey Transit's bus schedule

Well, the closest hotels are the Days Inn and Ramada, but they are not within walking distance. Renting a car would be the best bet, or just use the car that you drove there with. Don't worry about parking at Great Adventure, I have never seen the parking lot full, you will get a space. However, 2007 season there will be a hotel!
