First Trip to Six FlagsSix Flags Over Georgia: Great time at Six Flags and advice for cheap tickets.
From Sarah KaneLast weekend I went to Six Flags for the first time. It was also my first trip to Atlanta. The rides were all great, except Ninja, which banged me around and gave me a headache. I got a really good deal on my tickets by staying at a hotel that had a package including room, breakfast and tickets (my hotel was the Crowne Plaza on Powers Ferry Rd; I recommend it). I also went to Stone Mountain, which was a little dull. Six Flags was definitely the highlight of the trip!

From Christy ShumanI am planning a trip to six flags GA next week. Whats the best roller coasters there? How are the crowds? How is the food? I live in NC so I'm good 7hrs from GA. Is six flags GA worth the gas?

From Logan TeagueI went a couple weeks ago on a Fri (25-Jul). Honestly, I thought the park sucked. We arrived prior to opening, made a mad dash (literally) to Goliath and got our first ride in in ~ 20 min. That was our shortest wait of the day. We stayed until 4:30pm and I think we got a total of 7 rides: Goliath, Batman, the drop ride, ninja twice, mindbender, and the haunted mansion. Only getting 7 rides in in that time I considered to be a tremendous waste of $$$. The fast-pass / Goldpass seems like a scam to regular park members; basically if you want a decent experience, they want you to shell out 2x admission fee to get one of these passes.

On top of that, I couldn't believe how sorry the staff was. They simply didn't seem to give a damn about their job and appeared to be going through the motions as slowly and inefficiently as possible.
I supposed I've been spoiled by Busch Gardens Williamsburg, but I will NOT be planning another trip to SFOG. Disappointing experience all the way around.
