thorpe park: 2006Thorpe Park: my 2006 trip! all the new rides put to the test
From daniel searstoday i went to thorpe to check the new rides.

we arived at the exit and it was busy as ever with people running through the gates to the atlantis dome with out even paying attention to the ticket prices or the board. we payed our money and headed to get our rist bands from port atlantis.
after we did that, we headed for inferno. this ride was not what i'd hoped for. we climbed the steps and the hill to the exit and manahed to board in no time at all. the ride was like the vampire, although when i first rode it i was not sure i was going to enjoy it.
after inferno we debated riding the rapids but seeing they were closed settled for rush. rush was a exilent ride. the feeling of going up in the air was just so amazing. you had to really feel it to know what i mean.
after rush we went on vortex which has always been the best ride for me. this time was no diffrent and the ride lived up to it's name. my sister wanted to ride X no way out next. i think thorpe park should put more lighting in the exit. it's really difficult to get to the top when it's all dark but the ride, slightly faster than usual pleased both of us and we both liked the feeling of going backwards
after X we went to stealth(new for 2006) it was okay a bit like detinator although at first they wouldn't let me on because no one would go on with me. and still, even after we sorted that out they didon't have the rite band so it was a very difficult time getting a ride.
we decided to skip tidal wave (people were coming of it soaked) and we didon't fancy it ourselves. we did have a long drive back after all in our friend's car.
next we went on the detinator. it was quite diffrent from the other rides because it lasted only seconds. you went up and then you heard a countdown. after that it drops you down and the feeling is amazing.
after detinator we went to the pirates 4d as we wanted to chill out and watch the show. we were unhappy when it said on the sign that the show didon't start untill 5.00. we didon't really have that long because we needed to get home. but i went on it last year so i guess it wouldon't have changed anyway.
we went back to lost city but we didon't fancy any other rides at this late hour. we did colosis because we do that every year and we also did quantom.
after that we headed back to atlantis with wwtp radio playing by amity cove. really, they should update the music on that. i don't know many children who are going to remember elvis or niel sidaca but i had a grate time dancing and singing.
we went back through port atlantis and got back to the exit where the normal instramental music was playing. i love that music, would like a copy of it some day
all in all it was a really good day. just a shame that rapids were closed and we would have enjoyed pirates
