El Toro shut down... no clue why

Six Flags Great Adventure: The security guard at the entrance was no help, so I turn to you.

Six Flags, in their infinite wisdom, opted to run El Toro, a wooden roller coaster that operates @ 80 MPH, in the pouring rain on 6/26/06. Wood expands and gets soft in the rain, the stress from the ride on the wooden support gets extreme. It shut down sometime in the afternoon. Me and my friends tried to get on, and the security guard at the front had these words for us...

Us - "What happened on the ride?"
Guard - "Bad chain reaction. My partner is down for the count and he ain't getting up anytime soon. Thats all I have to say."

To say he skimped on any detail is an understatement. Does anyone know what happened on EL Toro on this day?

Probably the chain wasen't working. Son of Beast had a lot of downtime when it was opened. It would probably been open if it was a steel structure woodie though.

It Is a CABLE. And the motor has its bugs to work in.
