Does any know how long from Santa Barbara to Six flags magic mountain? (Not just miles, but time)
I did that exact drive last year (April), and it only took an hour and a quarter from downtown SB to the SFMM parking lot. The drive back took a bit longer since the traffic just south of SB was terrible (apparently, that stretch is always bad in the afternoons).

Its about an hour and a half, as the previous guy said, I am just curious though, you have internet access why ask on here rather than go to map quest or navigation sites and find out? Just curious???????????????
I think perhaps because mapquest is not human. To me, a human's/resident's perspective is a lot more helpful. True, Mapquest, Rand McNally, etc. can tell distance & approx. travel time but they don't always tell the best route, just the shortest or fastest, not necessarily the best or easiest.
Why the fnck is this a topic??
BEcause if someone needs help on something they will obviously ask for it and thats what this website is for
"BEcause if someone needs help on something they will obviously ask for it and thats what this website is for"
yea, THEME PARK INSIDER, not traffic report insider, map quest could easily answered this. The difference between some locals saying "about an hour and a half" and mapquest saying 1 hr 39 min is very small. Now if we had an off topic section, then maybe this could fly, but even then, a whole thread so a bunch of people can say "about an hour and a half" is useless...
haha ok whatever you say. I don't like arguing.
Thank You Ben, My sentiments exactly. The difference is absolutely negligible. I say 1 1/2 hours map quest says 1hour 40 min. but the fact is nothing is a certain, unless there is someone out there that can predict the future and will use that to route you a trip to avoid all accidents and roadwork, then you are just comparing apples to apples. So I you want the best route take some time and research on a travel site, and then call city to city, and news stations to check on road conditions.......Hell with it just use Map Quest or a old fashion map.
