Cedar Point: I am going to Cedar Point Saturday, Sept. 16 and I was wondering, how bad have the waits been after Labor Day?

I am going to Cedar Point Saturday, Sept. 16 and I was wondering, how bad have the waits been after Labor Day? Would they be bad? What lines would be the longest? Which ones are the fastest moving lines? Slowest moving?

I heard Top Thrill Dragster is down for repair, so that will probably be closed, BUMMER! :( How fast does the line for Millenium move? Raptor? Manis? Please respond! :)

TTD is not closed, where do you get this information from, lol, it was down for 1 day on Sept 8, and lines will be super long, jk

Can't wait! Looking forward for long waits! just kidding, Well I was just wondering, because we have a ride scedual.

ENTER AT GATE OPEN!
-Wicked Twister
-Top Thrill Dragster
-Millenium Force
-Magnum XL
-Raptor
-Mantis
-Mean Streak
-Iron Dragon
-Wild Cat

Then if we get to the others...if we see a short line on any ride. We are going for it even if it isn't on the list.

I assume you aren't staying onsite, Matt. Remember, resort guests are going to have an hour head start on you. While that won't have much of an effect over at Wicked Twister, it WILL have an effect for TTD, since many of them will pass on the "early entry" ride selections and start queueing up for TTD instead (that was my plan, though I couldn't resist stopping off at Maxair first).

I wish there was some way a non-resort guest could enter at over on the Wicked Twister Midway side, but I don't believe that's possible.

Maybe some of the hardcore CP folks will have more input on this. But I really think heading for WT first is going to put you an extra 20 to 30 minutes back on TTD (though maybe I'm wrong and the crowds are really managable).

Oh, and is there a reason Gemini isn't on that list? Gemini is a really great coaster. Don't pass it up!

ENTER AT GATE OPEN!

Those with the numbers next to them will have the longest waits. They were the only ones that I waited more than 30 minutes for on a weekday. If I were you, I'd hit those first. Wicked Twister I noticed that if you keep an eye on it, you can catch at any point in the day and maybe wait 3 or 4 train loads for it. Just a suggestion though, depends on which rides you really want to ride.

thanks! I didn't know about the hour head start thing! I really want to hit Top Thrill Dragster, Millenium Force, Wicked Twister, Magnum XL, Raptor, Mantis, MaXair, and Skyhawk...those are the highlights of the trip! I am just gonna do this...

Gate open
Top Thrill Dragster
Millenium Force
Raptor
Mantis
Magnum
Wicked Twister
MaXair
Skyhawk
...whatever else has short waits...

--thanks for the headsup! I appreciate it! :)

If you get there early, you MAY want to see if you can go in on the entrance over by Blue Streak. This may give you a *slight* advantage over everyone else running in.
