From Christy Shumanhey guys, I would like to purchase a gold pass at PKD, does anyone know how to go about doing it. Where do I go to get one and how does it work? How much is it? BTW gold passes is where you have to wait in NO lines right? dumb question I know but I have never purchased one. When I was there last weekend people were entering from the exit with no wait, I want that lol.

From Pete BrechtThey're not doing the Gold pass anymore, but the Gold pass only offered front-of-the-line benefits on Wednesdays to the first 1000 passholders, and it was only good for one line-skip per ride for about 5 or 6 rides.

Now that Cedar Fair has taken over, the pass options are:
King's Dominion only - $65
Personally, I think the $90 pass is a fantastic deal. One trip to Cedar Point, and it more than pays for the difference in cost over the base pass.
From Adrienne McDonaldI too think those prices are fair, look at all the parks you get w/it. I'm sure you can find out more info on their website. I might get one next season if I can swing it. Thanx Pete for the update/info.

From Russell MeyerPKD does offer a "Gold" pass, but it no longer offers FOTL or ERT. It's a basic season pass, and if you owned one for 2006 and purchase one for 2007 before the end of this season, you maintain your free parking benefits for 2007. The only place you can currently get a 2007 PKD pass is at PKD, which is open weekends through the first weekend of November.

PKD is also offering the "Maxx" pass, which allows holder entry to all of the Cedar Fair Parks, aside from the seperate admission waterparks and the Star Trek Experience. It's only $30 more than a standard pass, so one visit to another park makes the Maxx pass worth the extra money.
