What's the latest news on Backdraft? Will it be closing for a new ride in its place?

I have a friend who likes fire. A lot. I want her to see it before it goes away.

I haven't heard any news on it and I just went to Cali last year and we saw it, it was pretty cool even though it kinda gets less than stellar reviews. Its still on the USH site so likely its still running. There's a video of the show on YouTube if you want to see it.

I really hope that it gets closed down. Not many people like it, and don't you think that if they took this and the FX stages out, they could put a different ride there? Men in Black? Spidey? Maybe something totally different, but all I can say is: UNIVERSAL, PLEASE HUMBLY TAKE OUT BACKDRAFT AND PLACE IN A COOL ATTRACTION THAT'S NOT THEMED TO NICKELODEON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

Have to agree. I hope it shuts down. I saw the video, and to be totally honest, it doesn't look all that spectacular. I suppose watching the video is alot different from being there, but my reaction to it was about the same as Twister. It didn't invoke any emotions.

So, hopefully they do shut it down. I'd imagine it's probably on the list.

Backdraft will not be closing, you are on the right track. Back to the Future: The Ride is closing to make way for a new ride. I know this summer will be the last for the ride.
