From Erik MahalThe park is worth visiting. It has great rides and this year it is very clean and the employees are actually pretty nice. Since its the summer the park is gona be packed any day you go to it. I recommend a gold flash pass which if your willing to lay down the cash cuts 75% of the wait time for rides.

The rides you probaly want to aviod are Superman because it has a very long wait and isnt that great, Great American Scream Machine because it jerks your head, and skull mountain, its very small and not to exciting. Make sure you check out Kingda Ka, El Toro, and Nitro these are probaly the best rides in the park.
And directions from NYC
1. Head northwest on Chambers St toward Church St 0.1 mi
Hope you deciede to go to Sfgadv and have a great time regardless
From Christopher PalmaThe directions above are quite easy to follow. However, if you were not interested in driving from NYC you can try going to the NJ Transit website. I think they run some deal where you buy your ticket plus the bus transportation. Being as how you are visiting from the UK this could also be an option since for you to ease the pain of driving from NY halfway donw NJ and back again. You can follow this link Http://www.njtransit.com/summer to check it out.

Also I would definately agree on the Gold Flash Pass. The park is rather crowded this time of year and you will be able to do much more with that option. Enjoy your stay here and I hope you get to visit the park.
