How to get to Six flags Great Adventure from NY?

Six Flags Great Adventure: Does someone know if there's a bus which' departs around 8:00 from NY so you will be there around the park's opening.

I want ot go to six flag ga in the summer, but not by car, because then we have to rent a car for one day. That's to expesive.

Does someone know if there's a bus which's departure is around 8:00 from NY so you will be there around the parks opening.

And the departure from six flags is around half a hour before closing? Or at Closing time of the park.

So I will be able to be at the park all day long.

There are no buses but you can take a taxi but it will be $140 each way.

The poster above me is full of crap. There are NJ Transit buses that go there from Port Authority.

Sorry if this is late. You can take the 308 NJ Transit bus from The Port Autority at 9:30AM. It's about a 2 hour ride, so have your music ready.

C'mon...if you don't have anything useful to post just write a letter to yourself rather then tying up this message board with dopey comments. $140 each way for a taxi...hmmm, is that with or without tip? How stupid. Scold the dummy that wrote about the cost of a taxi, not the guy being helpful! Why not post the price of a private jet or helicopter ride too.

to matthew and c smith- actually danny was right- there are no busses at 8:00, which is what the original poster inquired about. so there are no busses which will get you there when the park opens, which i think is unfortunate. maybe you guys should should read the question more carefully before dissing someone who gave a correct answer.
