Backstage Tour at Hard Rock Park

After taking this self guided tour, I can't wait for Hard Rock Park to open!

Saturday, I had the pleasure of taking the Backstage Tour at Hard Rock Park. The tour is housed in a building outside of the Park. The Park itself now has numerous fences, but Led Zeppelin, The Ride is easy to see from the surrounding roads, as is the giant Gibson Guitar and the top of Maxium RPM. If you are on Route 501, you can get a great vantage point and see how the Park is shaping up.

The Backstage Tour was done very well. There are several rooms which give a description of each of the themed areas in the Park. The tour is self guided and took about an hour. I was really impressed by the attention to detail and the collection of Rock Memorabilia. The tour inculded everything from a model of the Park, an Ozzy Osbourne costume, a working Elton John pinball machine, an old "Pong" video game, black lights
(which wouldn't be complete without a collection of black light posters), photo ops, and many interactive areas to explore.

The Backstage tour is a great way to "see" some of Hard Rock Park before it actually opens on May 9. Of course, there are plenty of t-shirts, hats and mugs available for purchase. You can see the Magical Mystery Tour bus and even purchase your Annual Pass for the Park. It was definetly worth the hour it took to take the tour. Now I'm more ready than ever for Hard Rock Park to open!

I agree 100 percent here. They did a really great job with the preview center. If they're as creative in the park as they were in the preview center, I think we're looking at something very special.
