Well I finally made it to Six Flags Great Adventure! Our flight flew into Philly at about 8:15am, got my rental car and was on the way. They were calling for 70% chance of rain but didnt start raining until 2pm or so. Arrived at the park at about 10:45am, and darted straight for the flash pass booth, got me the flash pass gold and was ready to start my day. By the way everyone at the park was very nice and pleasant. I was very impressed with the ride ops and employees, they made my trip that much better. All the rides were running at a good cpacity too. El toro had 2 trains, superman 2 trains, KK 4 trains, Medusa 2or 3 not sure, Nitro 3, batman not sure at least 2. Let me tell ya tho it was pretty crowded, if you can afford the flash pass, get it, it is so worth the money, the longest wait I had was 14 mins for dark knight, and I ate lunch while waiting for that lol. So awesome. Now onto the rides, here are my ratings. 10 being AWESOME

Superman-9/10- Alot of people think this is boring, but I absolutly LOVED it. It was actually one of my favorites. I definatly like this better than the vekoma version so much more comfortable and smoother.

Scream machine-7/10 Ive heard this was really rough, but I dissagree, it did have a couple of rough spots but nothing unbearable, great first drop and great inversions.

Kingda CRAP I mean KA 3/10 This thing is unenjoyable!!! I was SO looking forward to this ride and I was VERY dissapointed. First off the launch was nothing, I guess cause Im used to HYpersonic-much more intense launch. Going up the hill on KK was rough and coming down was insanely rough totally unenjoyable.

Rolling thunder- 6/10 Typical racer but it wasnt racing. Pretty fun and pretty smooth.

El toro 10/10 HEHEHE best damn ride in the park- no doubt. This thing has such ejector airtime its not even funny. I rode in the back too. So freaking smooth too. Im telling you there is not 1 bad thing I can say about this ride.

Medusa- 7/10 Pretty fun floorless, but found that my ears were getting whacked thru some of the inversions.

Batman the ride-8/10 This thing packs a good little punch but still say Alpengeist blows this one away.

Nitro 9/10 Wow awesome airtime. great hills and twists. If I had to choose between this and Apollos, I think I would have to give the edge to Apollos.

Dark kinight 7/10 Pretty good, typical mouse ride and good little pops of airtime that I wasnt expecting. Good theming.

Skull mountain 7/10 This was pretty neat to me, it was really dark in there, I couldnt see a thing.

Thats I loved this and definatly will be going back!!!

Well, Christy, when I go in late June, I hope I'm not as dissapointed as you were on KK. 'Cause I've been waiting SO long for that!I agree about the Vekoma parts, they are sorta rough, but still fun.

How much is the flash pass, and how much is the gold (or are they the same thing, or what's the difference)?

Christy, since this is a Six Flags review, did you notice any of the improvements so far discussed by SF mgmt? It sounds like the employees were customer focused, which is a start. Was there a good family atmosphere? Was the park clean?

Did you see the infamous Six Flags Thrilleaders (and were they hot)? ;)

Just wondering. I won't be visiting a SF park (Saint Louis) until mid August...I am hoping that things have improved drastically since my last visit....

James- I have nothing bad to say about the park. everything was wonderful-the employees were very friendly, the food was good. The park was spic and span clean. No trash anywhere. Great family atmosphere-Bugs bunny, batman, Pepe Le pew, sylvester were all out walking around the park even in the rain, it was amazing.
Eli- Keep your hopes low for KK, b/c that was the main ride I was looking forward to and I was shot down with dissapointment. El toro was HOT tho, you'll love that one. The regular flash pass was $33 and the flash pass gold was $73 but $110 for 2 people. gthe gold is expensive as hell but it so worth it. Superman and KK had like hour waits I waited 8mins. Regular flash pass you wait as long as everyone else but not in line. Flash pass gold your wait is cut down by 75%. Like dark Knight had like a 90min wait I only waited 14mins.

Hi all,

Just a general inquiry about the flash passes. Do you have to buy an entrance ticket to the park AND a flash pass in order to use the flash pass with all the rides?

are they really gonna put a dive thingy? oh well but im a big roller coaster thrill seeker i wish there is a park with like over 20 roller coasters and they are like big hudge thrills. i think this park needs i new big thrill. i go every year and its the same thing over every year hey at least every few year they should make a new ride. but seriously take the dark knight outts there. its a disapoint meant to me! but i still love this park! and some one message me back to this question. ok doesnt this park already have a dive thingy? are they gonna put up another one??? im confused!

Dive thingy? Im assuming you are talking about a Drop tower maybe? If so - no they dont have one. The closest you're gonna get to a park close to 20 coasters is Cedar point w/ 17 coasters. BTW I had a hard time reading your post-work on the grammar.
