Gas prices - Talk about a roller coaster ride!

Dollywood: How are the ever-spiraling gas prices affecting your trips to the amusement parks this year?

In preparing for the upcoming familial reunion to Dollywood and the surrounding area, I've been going over budget amounts for different items, especially gas. I was wondering, as I input a new, higher amount for gas, how many (if any) of you have had to either shorten your stay or maybe not make as many trips to the amusement parks this summer? Has the gas prices affected your travel plans at all?

Thanks for your response(s).

I think it all depends on how far away you live from the parks. I am lucky and live close enough to SFGA that I do not have to fill the tank every trip. If that was the case, I would probably stay a shorter time

no, i only live about 20 minutes from disney and knotts, so gas is only an extra 10-20 a trip. however, i am not going to vegas or tj as much as i use too, which is 2-3 hours, which is 50-60 more each way.

um... the closest theme park i live near is SFA which is 30 minutes. But, I go to KD every early summer with my synogogue (I'm jewish). But, we won't be able to go this year because of gas, and the trip is close to 2 hours. I might be able to go later on my own, though.

gas prices have not changed my plans. trip i just got home did cost a lot more but did not change plans. i do have one more trip to Dollywood this season planned. i did miss one trip earlier this season but not getting off work was the reason not gas prices.
