Whats your thoughts on a Kumba refit?

Busch Gardens Tampa: It was rumored years ago that Kumba was going floorless but the idea was dropped when SheiKra and Jungala were planned. Do you think its time?

So, i was planning my next little Orlando trip today and saw a picture of Kraken. If it hadnt been for the blue (i think its blue, im colorblind) ride track on that ride, i swear i would have confused it for Kumba. That got me thinking, it would be FREAKING AWESOME if Busch Gardens Tampa would refit Kumba with floorless cars. Kumba, one of my favorites in FL, doesnt have any attendance problems, but it sure would keep me coming back if a refit is worked out.

A friend of mine who worked their told me years ago that they (management) were considering a refit, but back then floorless coasters werent exactly perfected. I called her up today and she said they gave up on the idea back in 04, when they started looking at SheiKra and Jungala to boost attendance. Seems like the perfect time to me, you think its worth it???

Considering the current status of their ownership, I wouldn't get my hopes up right now. I just hope that much rumored hyper hasn't been discarded...

Now that Sheikra is floorless, I doubt Kumba wil go that way. I agree with the above comment though. With the InBev takeover, I doubt there will be many improvements to the park any time soon.

A hyper at Busch would be awesome!
