Kings Island to announce new Coaster on 8/6/08Kings Island: I received an email from Kings Island with an announcement date for their newest coaster. "Warning: Our meanest ride hits the park! It's big, it's steel, it's coming!"
From Don Neal
I received an email from KI saying they will announce their newest coaster on August 6th, 2008. I got to see the footprint of it when I was there last month. Looked to be a decent size.Posted July 23, 2008 at 4:29 PM It said the following: "Warning: Our meanest ride hits the park: 08/06/08 SAVE THE DATE: 08.06.08
THINK BIG. NO. REAL BIG. Kings Island Where Else? It's big, it's steel, it's coming!" And included a picture of what looks like am eye of a dinosaur or reptile. Interesting to say the least. Can't wait to see what it is. :)

It's a hypercoaster with a splashdown. Western themed, and I'll even take a stab or two at the name...Posted July 23, 2008 at 7:13 PM Mustang

If its reptilian I think they should go with a diferent name like Copperhead.Posted July 23, 2008 at 7:32 PM

Something tells me it won't have a western theme. However, if you look at the roller coaster database, ther are only 4 things guaranteed about this coaster:Posted July 24, 2008 at 6:49 AM 1. It's a B&M There are only 3 possibilities: the new coaster will either be a sitting coaster, a florrless coaster, or a hyper coaster.

There are 10 second videos on King's Island's with three different environments. Each is either a person being chased or the perspective of something rushing through tall grass or woods. I am thinking something along the lines of "Predator" or a reptile that is known for being predatorial. There is also a box that says "Warning: do not disturb" as if something is sleeping in the cargo box.Posted July 24, 2008 at 2:21 PM Maybe it's "Wife of Beast", she needs her beauty sleep. LOL! :D

wife of beast, that's pretty funny....Posted July 24, 2008 at 2:58 PM copperhead could be the name as well. God only knows what Cedar Fair has come up with. Hopefully it's not one of those horrible recycled names they've been using. Many of the things I've heard insinuate that the ride will have a western flavor of some kind.
