I went back to Busch Gardens and Howl-O-Scream this past Saturday. I got there at 1pm and it was crowded already. I had to go park in the auxilary parking lot and take the tram. I meant to get there earlier but that didn't happen.
The weather was cloudy and a little cool. I brought my umbrella because I thought it was going to rain; it never did. I was so glad it didn't.
The rides had about a 30 min to hour wait. I did manage to ride on the coasters; even Griffin twice.
I did Wicked Woods and Never After. They both were about an 1 hr 15 min at least wait in line. I skipped Masquerage and Pompeii. I did those a few weeks ago and wasn't too thrill about either one. I capped off the night by seeing the Rockin Wrath show. That was pretty good.
I thought about getting the quick queue but decided not to. I pretty much got to do all that I wanted to do.
Cool, and I was there Saturday too and I liked Masquerage.

Wow a 1 hour 15 minute wait for Wicked Woods and NeverAfter? What times did you do it? I did Wicked Woods at around 7:30 and waited half an hour and NeverAfter around 10:15 and waited 20 minutes. It seemed like after 10:30 everyone just disappeared and all the mazes were a walk on. I ended up getting the last ride on Griffon for the night at about 11:30.
Oh, sweet, my birthday! Glad you had fun!

I was there Saturday, as well, and found it to be frustratingly packed. We were told that the lines for Wicked Woods & Masquerage were both an hour to hour 1/2 when we asked the guy who was standing there directing people w/ the microphone. I was also disappointed that the pirates were never out - we walked through several times and never saw them. Overall, I found there to be less scares than last year. A bit disappointing, but still had a blast!
That always tends to be the case on Saturdays. That's why I try to avoid going on that day of the week. Generally, waits are much shorter on Friday and Sunday nights, although this coming weekend may be the exception since this weekend is going to be the final weekend for Howl-O-Scream this year.

Please don't rain this weekend, please don't rain this weekend...everyone pray with me!
if its only you, i'd want it to rain!
I am going tomorrow Friday- I hope it wont be too crowded. School is in session right? I dont think Im going to do any mazes this time. Just ride, drink beer, and eat. hehe
I am going Friday as well. And probably Sunday with the kids. I will be happy if I get to go through NeverAfter, ride Griffon and Apollo's Chariot. I plan on doing some eating and drinking just like you, Christy!
I hope everyone has one last weekend of fun...enjoy!

I'm gonna try to go all three days.
We'll be there today. I hope to see Never After (though the area outside after both the houses -- I forget what it's called -- is my fave and I'd be happy to do just that!), Wicked Woods, and ride Griffon, Alpie, and AC. Coasters first, then whatever I can get in for the HOS attractions.
So sad to see closing weekend here, after a season where we didn't get to the park (or WCUSA either) very much.

I would love to go back for the final weekend but I don't really want to have to deal with that crowd again.
