Do you think Manta will be running during the week? Have a job opportunity the first wk in June so since the job op is just down from SW, why not go? I'd like to goto IofA and/or BGA but dunno if I can afford it. I can barely afford SW this trip since I hafta pay for hotel, car, etc. If I do get to go to one or all, can anyone give me tips for visiting SW or both SW & IoA parks during the week, on a Tues. or Wed. I'll probably save BGA for later. Are they usually crowded during the week in June? I realize most schools may be out for summer but since I've never been to Florida, didn't know. Anyone who can tell me how I should go about my day feel free to respond. I'd appreciate any offers of assistance. Thanx!

Glad to help. Yes, Manta is up and running now in previews. Seaworld has a hot, new flying coaster and the reviews are excellent. Official opening day is May 22. If you go, try to arrive when the park opens at 9. Seaworld is allowing pass holders to get in at 8 to ride Manta throughout the month of June so there will be people already in the park at 9 but if you arrive as the gates open to the public you'll be able to ride without too much wait.

It's hard to imagine a better place to spend a day in Florida than at Seaworld. Seaworld After Dark is starting up again so the park will be open late and you will be able to see the Shamu Rocks night show.

Crowds have been fairly light so far and a weekday in June should be moderate.

You'll have a blast there.

Crowds this week were not the worst I have seen, but none of the parks were empty by any means. Posted wait times varied on most rides at WDW. At Seaworld on Sat, May 16, I usually saw wait times of 30 min or less on most, with only a peak of 45 min for Manta around 11AM.

Also, there were signs posted at the front ticket counters at Seaworld stating that Manta would not be in operation at all on Monday, May 18. Hopefully that does not mess up your plans.

Park hours are from 9am to 7pm through Friday, May 22. On Saturday, May 23, park hours extend to 10pm. for the summer season.
