First time at Cedar PointCedar Point: What are some can't miss rides
From Jen T
I plan on going to Cedar Point this June 16-17. Is this an ok time to go? What are some can't miss rides? This is my first time going and if you have any tips for CP, it would be great.Posted June 3, 2009 at 8:58 PM

Yea it's an ok time to go. Lines shouldn't be too long but you might encounter a crowd. (Can't Miss Rides):Posted June 4, 2009 at 5:16 AM Millennium Force Maverick Top Thrill Dragster Raptor MaxAir Wicked Twister Gemini Magnum Skyhawk Disaster Transport and Cedar Creek Mine Ride(only because they could be on the chopping block soon) Mantis Wildcat Blue Streak

Hey there Jen,Posted June 4, 2009 at 6:59 AM June 16th and 17th shouldn't be too bad for you. There might be some lines but since you have two days you should be able to hit all the rides. Brandon covered all the rides. I would skip Raptor when you first walk in because that line will be the longest. If you want to start off small and work your way up ride Blue Streak (oldest coaster in the park), Disaster transport, Iron Dragon and Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Definitely the least exciting, but still good rides. The musts for me are Maverick, Millenium, Magnum, Gemini, Top Thrill, Raptor, MaxAir, and Skyhawk. But with two days you should have plenty of time to hit up every coaster you want and ride some multiple times. I would highly recommend Millenium at night. Check out the forecast before you come and bring a jacket or sweatshirt, being surrounded by Lake Erie keeps the temps cool in the mornings and evenings. Have a great time!!!!

This is a wonderful time for you to go. I went on those days in 2007 for vacation. Here are the must rides: Top Thrill Dragster, Millenneum Force, Maverick, Mean Streak, and Raptor. Out of those rides, Maverick is my favorite. I live in California, so I have only been there once, and I heard that they got a ride called Skyscraper. Ride every ride!Posted June 5, 2009 at 3:31 PM

^Mean Streak? That's not really a must ride, unless you enjoy getting a headache after riding...Posted June 5, 2009 at 10:24 PM

Mean Streak is an OK ride, it will just beat you around. It's usually a walk on, so if you want to try it, it's a good one to go on once, as long as you realize it can hurt! :)Posted June 6, 2009 at 5:52 AM Skyscraper is one of those pay extra rides, it's one of those tall single arm rides where there are only four riders on, and it rotates around 160 feet above the ground. Oh, and if you are staying at a CP resort, make sure to take advantage of early entry. Other than that, pretty much what everyone else said! Have a great time!
