Advice needed on SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and Legoland

Sea World San Diego: Where to stay, etc.?

Hello,
My family and I (husband and 2 kids, 9 months and 5) are coming to California next month and want to spend between 3 and 4 days doing Seaworld, San Diego Zoo and Legoland.

Can anyone recommend a cheap place for tickets and offer some general advice? I've been bamboozled with 'hopper' passes and three day this and that but because we're short of time, we're hoping to do a day at each one.

Also any advice on places to stay close to the parks would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Clare

My family was in San Diego for a week in January, and we stayed in condo that we rented. It was perfect for us -- there are five of us, all adults, and the space was great, as was having a kitchen to cook meals. And it only cost about 200 dollars a night, and was right in the Gaslamp district. Since your family is smaller, you may be okay with a single hotel room, in which case I'd search a site like hotels.com for a deal.

We also bough something called a CityPass which included admission to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios Hollywood, Disneyland, and Disney's California Adventure. We spend the last three days of our trip staying at the Grand Californian at Disneyland. We had a fantastic time.
