Check out this thread for previous discussion on the new coaster.Posted July 20, 2009 at 7:08 PM I'll be at KD in about a month, right before the park shifts to Fall hours. Can't wait to see the new construction first hand.

It's great that we're starting a new thread! I'll take some time to give my two cents here: First off, I've heard some rumors of a vertical lift. Hmmm....No. There is no way in my opinion that the 2010 Intamin will feature a vertical lift, and here's why:Posted July 21, 2009 at 11:46 AM 1) There is a picture of a lift hill beginning in the parking lot now( http://www.kdfansite.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=68&pos=1 )which shows an incline of about 45 degrees, just like MF. 2) Also in the parking lot is a picture of a straight lift hill section with a support connector that appers to be angled at about 45 degrees ( http://www.kdfansite.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=65&pos=9 ) 3)On another lift piece, there are bolt-on sections for a catwalk. Tell me, can an average human being walk up a vertical lift? ( http://www.kdfansite.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=65&pos=7 ) 4) This. ( http://www.kdfansite.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=65&pos=15 ) So yeah, folks, it'll be a lift like MF's. I'm not complaining!

i never heard THAT rumor, ian. I've heard that there COULD be a splashdown, but most likely not. and yes, a definite cable lift. Posted August 1, 2009 at 9:28 AM Oh, I'm goin to KD august 5th. It says now that it might thunderstorm that day, so i might just go the day before, which is said to be sunny. When I go, if i remember, I'll bring my digital camera and take some pics of the new stuff (track and construction) and also the rides there now.
