Strange things we see on our Vacations…

I forgot to add the strange sighting I saw on my Orlando trip last week.

I forgot to add there was a woman (who looked Mexican to me) in line for ET at Universal studios who was sniffing a bottle of rubbing alcohol. She was with her husband and a small (boy) child. I saw her sniff this bottle of rubbing alcohol once and thought it was one of those things you have to smell when you open them. But than she did it again and again and I pointed it out to my wife. The wait was about 30 minutes and she kept sniffing that bottle…Over and over every few moments.

What a cheap high, killing brain cells way before their time. I bet She will be in a nursing home with some severe brain damage within a few years.

We also saw a woman pass out at USF. She was in the front of the line and would have been the first one in the door next time it opened for Disaster (Earthquake). She dropped gently as the folks around her gently lowered her as she passed out. Park employees came quickly and brought her into the building…. It was 93 and pretty hot. I assume she passed out because of the heat or maybe she was a diabetic. But either way if you keep your eyes open you will see some “different things’ happening around you…

Brian, had the same kind of experience at Universal several years back. Zachary and I were just getting inside ET, when this older woman went down. People were trying to help her, and she was complaining about the heat making her pass out. I always carry several hand held fans, so I gave her one, and told her to keep it, and I'd wait after the ride to see if she was okay.

We waited after the ride, but never saw the woman or her family again. I don't know if they took her to first aide or not. Hope she was all right and remembers the kind people who helped her. I believe in passing on a kindness done to me, by doing ten kindnesses to others. If everyone did this, what a better world this would be, huh?

I was on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour this past summer and there was a woman who was in a rental electric scooter (I think she might have had M.S or something). Anyway, since it was a rental and not her's, she went up on the curb across from the Emporium to listen to our guide as we all sat in cafe seats on a seculuded part of Main Street USA. She swiveled her chair around and did NOT turn off the scooter. Well, she figited once and the thing took off and shot off the curb to the side walk and slammed into the opposing curb as she looked terrified by speeding backwards. She never fell out and my father stopped the scooter finally so everything was fine. The funny part was it was the beginning of the tour and the guide was talking about safety in the park, especially the design of the sidewalk!

Oh and the Keys to the Kingdom is pretty wheelchair/scooter accessable so if any of you are thinking of going, feel free to go on this tour!
