I305 Seating and Restraints
Kings Dominion: Question about the latest thoughts on the spacing and restraings on KD I305.
I'm sorry if this has been discussed previously, but I'm looking for the latest info. I am headed to KD tomorrow with my brand spankin new Platinum Pass and would like to give a try to the I305 ride. Unfortunately, I am 6'7" tall and sometimes have issues fitting into rides. I can ride Dominator fine, and have no problems with Millenium Force at CP, or Apollo's Chariot at BGW. I am wondering about the restraint type used on I305. I heard they were the Maverick style, but that they might be changing to a different type. Anyone have the latest info on this, and how the spacing compares to any of the rides I've mentioned? Thanks! Jon

I went to KD in mid-May & the restraints were still Maverick-style. I follow a couple different theme park sites & as far as I've heard they're still present.
To follow up, I went last week and the restraints are still the same. I fit fine, and in fact there was a gentleman in front of me who was as tall as me, and he had to be over 320 lbs. He fit fine too. Lots of room in those restraints. And, I went with 3 other guys, and two of the other guys went "nite nite" during the first turn. They were the smaller of the four of us. Wonder if size has any impact on whether you black out.
