Parking at six flagsSix Flags Great America: Problems with parking
From John Meder
Has anyone had problems with their season pass when you try to use it for the free parking. I paid for free parking when I purchased my pass but when I tried to use it a six flags America it would not scan. I was told that I would have to pay for parking and go to "customer relations" to get my money back. What my wife got was not the $15 for parking but food vouchers that could not be used for any variety of reasons when we tried to buy food for my children. At the end of the day I brought them back to the customer relations office to get my money and was told I was "OUT OF LUCK". The kid behind the counter had a serious attitude about it too. Has anyone else had this problem?Posted August 30, 2010 at 11:16 AM

I haven't had any issues, but I haven't been to any other SF parks besides GAdv, where I bought the pass. Last year, I visited multiple parks with no issues. This season, my Dorney PP has gotten me parking at CW,KI,CP, and KD with no problems. And I don't anticipate any snafu at Carowinds in two weeks.Posted August 30, 2010 at 1:28 PM Okay, the second part of that got off the Six Flags topic, but again, I've never had an issue in the three years I've had the SF pass with parking...at ANY SF park, including America twice last year.

I've parked there as recently as 8-25-10, and I had no problem with parking. I have been pleased with guest services thus far, except in person once when Coasters After Dark closed early and we were left "in the dark" about what happened. I was given the email address and the situation was successfully resolved. Try contacting the park with your inconveniece, and they should be helpful for you.Posted August 30, 2010 at 11:04 PM

This year I used my Magic Mountain parking pass with no problem at Great Adventure. (As it should be since it IS included). I am going to use it again at Great Escape next month, so we'll see if I have to argue. Posted September 1, 2010 at 10:10 AM Last year I had some problems because I got my non parking pass from America in the mail and took it to Great Adventure where I immediately bought a parking permit. They said that I had to go America to get my pass reprinted (stupid rule, but my bad?)but told me I could "in the meantime" use my receipt if I come back to Great Adventure again before America. (Which I did, and it was no problem getting through the parking gate on the paper receipt). Now at Gilroy Gardens I used my CF Platimum parking pass and, at first, heard "No" at the parking gate; to which I said, "You are wrong, call your supervisor." which the attendant did, and apologized for telling me no at first. If I were you, at America I would have forced the parking attendant to call a supervisor who would have known that the other parking pass is acceptable. It's not a grey area, it's acceptable. Getting a refund is always questionable.
