Will Radiator Springs Racers/Cars Land and Transformers the Ride be open by June 2012?
Disneyland: Anyone know?
My family was originally planning on visiting Disneyland and Universal Hollywood in June 2013, which was perfect since I knew both Cars Land (along with Radiator Springs Racers) at Disneyland and the new Transformers Ride at Universal would be open by then. However, they have recently decided to move the trip up a year to June 2012.
I know that no official announcement has been made regarding the official opening dates of these attractions, and looking online all I have been able to find is Early to Mid 2012. Obviously plans could always change but I would find it mighty disappointing if we ended up missing out on these attractions by only a few weeks, especially seeing as it would like be at least another 4 years until I got out there again.
I thought maybe someone on here would have some additional inside info, or perhaps be able to provide an educated guess based on criteria that the average person wouldn't know. So, what do you think are the odds that both of these attractions are open by June 2012?
Yep, both should be open by the summer next year, but you never know. Things may be pushed back or even come up sooner!
There's a strong possibility. It seems like they're making fantastic progress right now so they could hit the early end of their 2012 timeframe, but it is too early to tell. With a year to go, there can be all kinds of problems that come up. Weather, rare as it may be in Southern California, could cause delays. I wouldn't pin your hopes on it being open, but it isn't out of the question.
I would be concerned about crowds. If it is open when you go, it will not have been open long and the million annual pass holders will be out in force.
I would feel reasonably confident that Cars Land will be open by June of next year. Disneyland Resort tends to do its premieres in early June.
Transformers I'm less confident about. I could see that slipping into July, when Universal's done premieres in the past.
