Question: Me, my husband, and two sons ages 9 & 7 will will be staying at my aunts house in Placentia, CA. What theme parks are best for boys ages 9 & 7? When is the best time of year (we can go as early as May 18th)? Any other tips or suggestions are welcomed. Thank you!

For Southern CA: Don't go to Six Flags Magic Mountain, all it is is roller coasters. If all you care about is roller coasters, then it is reccommended. Knott's Berry Farm, Legoland, and Disneyland (if you have the budget) are all very family friendly.

For Northern CA: California's Great America is much more family friendly than Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. CGA has 2 kids areas and other kid-friendly attractions scattered among the park.

For those ages? Legoland, and by a wide margin. Disneyland's fun, but not nearly as tailored for elementary-age children as Legoland is.
