San Antonio Texas VS Orlando…

I was thinking the other day about how San Antonio has some similarities when comparing to Orlando. Now I have never been to Texas but from what I can see on the Web there is a lot to see and visit… (Oh course Texas is not a good as Chattanooga)…

SeaWorld San Antonio
Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort
Splashtown San Antonio

Any comments are welcomed…

Sorry, San Antonio has some great theme parks, but there real is no competition between San Antonio and Orlando.

I really like the San Antonio area. If you've never been I recommend a visit. The parks are good, but they shouldn't be the only reason you go. The Riverwalk and the Alamo, as well as the downtown area are very cool spots with lots of history and personality.

Obviously Orlando has the advantage when it comes to parks, and it's also close to the ocean. If you want to visit an actual city though, I'll take San Antonio over Orlando any day.

Sea World San Antonio is really nice. It's the best theme park in my homestate. I was there last year and they had the park decorated for Halloween and had a section with mazes and scare zones. It was very detailed and best of all included with park admission(which is considerably less compared to San Diego or Orlando).

The downtown area is very nice as well.

They're local parks in San Antonio, nothing like Orlando. Schlitterbahn is the best water park ever.

Theme parks aside, San Antonio is the better city. The river walk district puts anything Orlando has to shame. It's a better grown city, having grown on it's own, versus Orlando growing because of Disney moving.

San Antonio has history, and the buildings show it. It's popular to save the buildings and use them for new things, like the coolest Rainforest Cafe ever.

Yeah the history in San Antonio is great. As for the Rainforest Cafe you mentioned it is really neat. On the outside it looks like a standard, old(not rundown) urban apartment building but on the inside its good ole Rainforest Cafe like you would find at the Downtown Disney's(minus the volcano or temple).

San Antone is a great weekend trip with the Riverwalk,Alamo, and Sea World.
