Did you get picked for the Ollie wand experience show, and if so, was your wand free?

If you get picked you get a (small) discount on the price of the wand - like $2.00 or around there. If you have a AAA card or an Annual pass you save more that way and don't have to try to be picked ;)

Are you sure they give a discount. My brother got picked but I was under no impression that the wand was discounted! In fact I thought (compared to Dumbledore's) the wand was actually at an extra premium. What I do know however, is that the wand is not free. The staff do tell you - once picked and wand chosen - that "You are under no obligation to buy the wand".

When I went through he picked two girls who did not speak English... at all. It was totally ruined but funny.

I went at the end of September with my 11 year old nephew and he got picked! The wand was not free and the lady at the check-out counter said nothing about a discount and she knew that it was a chosen wand. I also went last spring and asked an employee at one of the wand stands by the Forbidden Journey and they said all the prices of the wands were the same.

Never heard of a discount. My step-sister, 8, got chose this August. We were first in line that day due to the Virgin early entry, that allowed us entry at least 30/40 minutes before on-site guests.

Like the poster above me said, no discount but the team members that work in Ollivander's know who the "chosen one" is. It was pretty sweet to see my step-sister being told she was the "chosen one" by all the team members and she proceeded to tell everyone we encountered for the rest of the day!

Maybe they've stopped doing it but I know for a fact that when it first opened the chosen one got a small discount on the wand. (I heard many, many people complain after their kid was picked and they bought the wand that it should have been more then a few bucks. Maybe you only get a discount if you complain?)
