Kumba is awesome but a headache should they make it smooth or take it down and make a new ride or a animal habitat

Manny, you just made my day! I thought only us old guys got headaches from riding Kumba. Now I don't feel so bad.

I think Busch Gardens should keep Kumba but try to smooth it out a little. The ride has a great course. It's just a little (actually a lot) too rough.

I think it is too rough too, and not a good course either. Even if it wasn't rough, I don't imagine it being a better coaster experience.

How long has it been since Kumba went down for any sort of extended maintenance? The first time I rode it, it was smooth as glass. Last time I rode it (maybe in 2008 or so?), it was pretty rough. There's really no excuse for letting a B&M get that rough. Obviously the needs of a full-year park are different than a seasonal park, but that's not really an excuse for letting a $20 million investment lose its appeal.

Same applies to Hulk, by the way.

Kumba has always been my favorite coaster but I recently rode it in October for the first time since 2008 and it got so rough. I couldn't enjoy it half as much. Kumba has one of the best layouts ever so I think it should be smoothed out. Same with Sheikra and Hulk.

I wonder if there is such thing as a remake for a coaster. Like make a new coaster with same name and similar layout but put in some new surprises.

Um, have you ridden it after its big refurb last year? I rode it in July 2010 and it was smooth as silk. They have most definitely been working at smoothing it out.

Nick, which one had a refurb in 2010? Kumba or Hulk?
