What should be the next ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios?

Walt Disney World: What should be the next big ride at DHS? A Pixar ride, another Star Wars, or maybe a new Pirates of the Caribbean ride?

The question was posed recently about what the next big attraction should be at Epcot, but what about at Disney's Hollywood Studios?

Some of the posts in the last few months have been suggesting a full Star Wars land, and I've seen some suggest a new Pixar inspired ride. I had a thought about a new and updated Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Obviously the ride at the Magic Kingdom is a classic and should stay around forever. But now with 4 movies out and 2 more supposedly on the way, could there be room for another more updated ride? With the technology today I could only imagine what Disney could create.

The ride inspired the movies, but now the movies could inspire a ride so DHS could be a perfect fit. There is so much potential for a modern Pirates ride and I would love to see it! What are your thoughts on a new Pirates ride or a new ride at DHS in general?

I think your idea on a whole new pirates idea sounds great... Though I would hope people don't think it's repetative to have to pirates rides... But no one complains about having buzz and toy story mania so this sounds great.. Maybe it could be something like crushs coaster but with many more show scenes and not in the dark for as long... Also Dominic each park needs some originality and those are a lot of original Disneyland rides and that doesn't mean WDW needs them

I want a Pixar ride. Preferably an expansion with 5 to 6 rides. Everybody HS should never get a RSR simply because they're trying to establish DCA and putting a clone of one of the most anticipated rides ever in the more popular resort will basically be a waste of the $200 million they spent.I have never been to the DLR but I plan on going there for Cars Land and I'm pretty sure that is the way for many other people who have only been to WDW. I read someone's idea about a Maters Cars toon version of Roger Rabbit's Car Toon spin but using the trackless technology. The next Pixar ride should be the MI door coaster since it's being re release in 3d and a prequel. Then an Incredibles thrill ride or an Up simulator. I secretly hope for an indoor junior coaster dark ride for Toy Story since the only rides that franchise has is 2 shooter type and 3 carnival rides.

Please stop it with the Disney Marvel attraction ideas. I remember someone posting on another site the full contract of Universal and Marvel agreement. I can't remember the site but it basically said no park can use them east of the Mississippi which we know but it also said that other theme parks can use the characters but not the ones in the same family that Universal uses anywhere and Universal basically used the characters in the main families. So yeah there can be a Marvel Land at Disney with irrelevant characters. I don't see Universal backing down to Disney. The only way Disney gets Marvel in their parks if they let Uni change Storm Force to a better attraction and lets them keep more merchandise sales and Uni lets them use them in their struggling Paris park a win win situation that will most likely not happen. I'll try to find it.

Monsters Inc ride (not another show) or a Phineas & Ferb ride should be next.

A Monsters Inc. door coaster / ride would be sweet in Pixar Place! And some sort of a Cars ride (Borrow one from DCA). Also maybe some way to incorporate the National Treasure movies.

An Indiana Jones ride (maybe based on the later movies?).

They have an Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland thats supposed to be like the Dinosaur ride at Animal Kingdom. If the could do something like that at DHS that could be pretty cool. I was pleasantly supprised when I rode Dinosaur for the first time. An Indiana Jones version at DHS could be a lot of fun!

Just because it has a similiar layout doesn't preclude Disney from bringing IJ to WDW. That is like saying you can't have more than 1 type of coaster in a park. Besides I don't see a problem with putting Transformers in Florida as long as it is at Studios and not IOA.

an indoor Indiana Jones ride based off the mine cart chase scene in the temple of doom. They could use the technology they are using for the new snow white ride but make it more extreme kinda of like cat in the hat and mib

Yeah I thought of that to Dom. I was just hoping that IJ was different enough or that because it's in a different park that they could make it work. Dinosaur is actually a really good ride so I wouldn't mind doing something similar just IJ themed!
