The reason is joyous though, my wife and I had a baby and of course, my Disney craze takes a backseat to my amazing little girl.
My wife and I want to go together soon, but she's very clingy to her mother already and it wouldn't be a good idea to leave the baby for even a few hours. So, my father wanted to take the quick Disney fix journey with me tomorrow and I am ready to cure the itch!
We'll be in the parks from 9 AM to 2 PM, so I can head on back home quick enough so I'm not gone all day from my wife, baby, and yorkie.
The plan is to go to Animal Kingdom at rope drop...
- Ride Expedition Everest back to back immediately.
I haven't ridden Everest in probably about 9 months since I haven't been at AK in a while, very excited to go on the roller coaster that's in my top 5 best rides at the entire Walt Disney World resort.
- Ride Primeval Whirl.
Small, spinny coaster, but with a short wait, it's good goofy fun. I've only ridden this once before, so it'll be good to get another ride in.
- Ride DINOSAUR.
Definitely a top 10 ride at WDW, and should be nothing more than a 5-10 minute wait if anything at this time.
- Experience It's Tough to Be a Bug!
In my opinion, comes SO close to being the best 3D show at WDW. Mickey's PhilharMagic at the Magic Kingdom is sitting on the throne, but this comes awfully close to taking the crown.
- Leave AK and head to Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I figure we should probably be back at the park entrance leaving AK by 10:20 AM.
Once at DHS...
- Grab FPs for Rock "n" Roller Coaster.
I would so want to get Toy Story Mania! FPs, but since Saturday is EMH Morning, and we'll already be way behind in FP return window time if there's even any left. I'll predict there will be some left, but it'll be for 6 PM or later and that's not a possibility for us.
- Try to ride Toy Story Mania! using standby line.
If it's a 45 minute wait or less, we'll probably queue up and wait it out.
- Ride Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.
I've been on the updated ride twice, the first time was on opening day, and the second was in September. Both times, my friend was the Rebel Spy... so that means I need to try and do my best to get my father on that screen with sheer luck determination!
- Watch Muppet*Vision 3D.
I haven't seen this show in over a year, would be good to see it again.
- Ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
I'd say this is the best ride at WDW.
- Ride Rock "n" Roller Coaster using FPs.
This would be the final ride of the day, it all depends on that Toy Story wait, I think we should be done by around 1:45 PM if that wait isn't longer than 45 minutes.
I will report back with how it actually went down. I love writing these kinds of things, gets me even more pumped for the quick trip.
EDIT: Oops, I'm looking too far ahead here. I totally read that as Feb 28th. You'll be fine, have a great time! :)
Here is the recap...
9 AM...
- Headed towards Primeval Whirl since the host cast member told us Everest was delayed shortly. Rode Primeval Whirl, more fun than last time I rode it.
- Walked on DINOSAUR, always great to see those great actions the dinosaurs do. Seemed less loud and jerky.
- Saw on an app that Expedition Everest was running, so we went on with a 5 minute wait. Missed that coaster. Rode it back to back times.
- Went on It's Tough to Be a Bug! Great effects and elements.
- picked up the passholder calendar on our way out.
10:40 AM
- Arrived at Disneys Hollywood Studios.
- Got FPs for Rock "n" Roller Coaster.
- Waited 10 minutes for Star Tours, wasn't the greatest version, but it's still awesome.
- Ate at Studios Catering, had a pressed turkey club with apple slices, pretty good and felt healthy.
- I messed up, we went into Muppets 3D, but in preshow, I thought we should go see American Idol, but we missed doors by one minute there. So, at 12:30, we waited in line at Tower of Terror, a 40 minute wait.
- Went on RnR at 1:25, got off at 1:38 and headed to the exits. Toy Story Mania was too long all morning to try.
Great, quick Disney day.
Giovanny, I probably could have fit in Toy Story Mania if we didn't sit down for 30 minutes, maybe a 10 minute lunch, and I didn't flub the Muppet*Vision 3D and American Idol thing where we ended up not doing Muppets and missing the Idol show by a minute. It was a 50 minute wait the most of the time we were there.
Bobby, haha, my wife and I have been thinking about which princess she'd like the most already, haven't figured it out yet, but lol at your comment and us already planning on that, nice!
