earlier I saw a a post for a family guy ride http://www.themeparkinsider.com/news/response.cfm?ID=945506014 I think that a family guy ride would be cool but instead of drunk driving, I have a diffrent idea.the audience has been trapped in a cage, behind the family guy gang, who are also trapped, and are going through a torture chamber, with swinging axes and lasers and such, then they are saved by a helicopter "conveniently introduced during the preshow, then they are flown aroud Quahog by Quagmire, who is too dumb to land.
Yeah, Joel. I'm a Family Guy fan, but this is a little extreme for a family attraction. But I was curious about your use of the word "layer" in the name of the ride. Is that meant to imply that the "layer of doom" is but one level of the story? You know, like a seven-layer cake? Mmmm..cake. Now I'm hungry again.
not a bad idea (no idea is) but to me sounds too similar to the simpsons ride for me. welcome to tpi
Family Guy doesn't have the stay power as the Simpson. Even the Simpson's ride isn't hugely popular and in a few years may not have been worth the money.

Welcome ot TPI Joel!
I think Family Guy as a Halloween Horror Nights maze presents just spectacular entertainment opportunities. :^)
Robert, what park would you put it in? Does Fox have any franchise agreements with any park(s)?

I would like to respond to the comment that FG doesn't have the staying power of the Simpsons. I realize this is a personal opinion, so no offence is meant, but I think FG has taken the Simpsons as a start point and gone beyond it. The Simpsons has become dry and predictable. IMHO it's on life support and I don't think it has much life left. That being said, I think some kind of FG ride at a park would be well worth trying. Right now the McFarlane franchises are pretty hot, and there is a lot of material there to pull from. Obviously there couldn't be some of the more raunchy parts of the show, But the chatacters of Stewie and Brian by themselves would open up a huge platform for a ride of some kind with all of the "Road show" episodes they have been in. Heck, right now "Family Guy On Line" is in beta testing and the servers are getting overloaded, and the DVD's are selling well, so I think there is definitely a market for it at some park, maybe re-purposing an existing ride that has outlived it's theme...
I don't know. Universal got The Simpsons from Fox, so I assume that a big enough check could land Family Guy, too.

layer as in evil layer of doom, not cake, but cake is good to.
I'm sorry, can explain what a layer of doom is? I googled it and only found evil lair.
It's just a misspelling, it's "lair", not "layer"
