Hello. My girlfriend and I are going to The Orlando theme parks (WDW, Universal and IOA) in September. We chose this month after researching the least crowded times of the year for the parks. Problem is we kept seeing articles saying it was a good time to go however, the parks tend to close early. My question is this: HOW EARLY? No one has ANY information on this. We would like a specific time to be able to maximize our experience while there, see as much of each park as we can each day. Does anyone have a ballpark figure on the hours of operation for WDW, Universal and IOA in September? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Universal listed closing hours for this Spring have been later than their historical closing hours. So, perhaps, the Fall may follow that pattern. But, Universal doesn't have their Fall calendar posted yet, so you'll probably just have to watch their internet site to know with any certainty.

universal, islands and sea world close at 6pm, the disney world parks vary from day to day and park to park sept 2012 calendar is up on there site so you can look at specific days. hope this helps ( sept is also the month i'm going yes the parks shut earlier but with all the lines a lot shorter you have less time waiting to get on rides so you end up getting more stuff done) :0)

When in September? The last weekend of September is Halloween Horror Nights and Universal will close at 5pm then reopen around 7 for a separate event (which is amazing and you should go!).

I was in parks last year in September and I recall thinking they were open later than last tiem I was there in Sept. I don't believe any of the parks closed before 8, with exception of Busch Gardens which I believe was 7pm on the day I went.
This may well mean nothing with changes that come along every year though...

Economic/crowd conditions are often a factor in park hours at resort areas. As I said previously, Universal has already scheduled later hours for parts of the Spring 2012 than was scheduled in 2011.

I was at Universal last year towards the end of September and I think I still have the hours of operation brochure so I'll try to find it. But as it was said before, Universal's Spring 2012 hours are longer than their Spring 2011 hours. So their fall hours might be extended this year too. This is probably due to the new Universal's Cinematic Spectacular - 100 Years of Movie Magic lagoon show. According to Universal's web announcement from January, they said that the new show will start in the spring, run through the summer, and on select nights in the fall. So there should be some extended hours in the fall, but it's anyones guess on what those will be. Like I said, I'll try to find that brochure and get you last years info.

Here is the link to the picture that I took from the Universal Orlando Parks September 2011 time schedule brochure. Sorry for it taking so long. It took me a while to find the brochure. I hope this helps!
