Kings Dominion Crowds Question

Kings Dominion: I've never been before, any tips would be appreciated.

Wondering who has been to kings dominion during the spring break times in the past and how the crowds are on the weekends in the spring. I'm planning on going April 14th which is this Saturday. I've never been before, any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

I always try to avoid the weekends at Cedar Fair parks, and Kings Dominion is no exception. However, if you pick up one of their new Fast Lane express passes, all the best coasters are included in the pass (Volcano - front row not included, I305, Dominator, and Backlot Stunt Coaster) so you should be good to go without worrying about lines.

I've been going to KD around the third week of April the last several years (leaving on the 20th for two days at the park..YAY!) Always a weekend, never ran into heavy crowds, but Flight Of Fear, Avalanche, and Volcano will have rough lines no matter when you go.

Nice! I hope it's not too bad when we go. I heard that KD is having lots of trouble with their fast pass system, and guests are pretty upset. We'll have to see I guess! Have a good trip, Mike

Thanks, D-Man. I'm trying to figure out a way to go and avoid most of the (recently heavily-increased) tolls on the way down. Not having a lot of success so far. I could take 301 and save some money, but that really only works if I'm staying right near the park. 301 won't bring me out near where I'm staying in Fredericksburg.
