A Skyrim dark ride at Universal Orlando?
Universal Orlando: Nobody seemed to like my Twilight idea, so I thought about the elder scrolls 5: Skyrim. Very popular game, could be a great ride with Stormcloaks, Ulfric Stormcloak, General Tulius and the imperial legion, dark elves, the thalmor etc.
New idea for a ride at Universal Orlando. Could be a great dark ride. The line could be like E.T, The Mummy etc. The Skyrim universe in the line and on the ride. You could be the dragonborn and help Ulfric take down The Thalmor. A good idea or not?
Now, I'm not someone who really got excited for Skyrim, so I can't say whether this is good or not. But to base a ride on just one game? No. You gotta feature the series as a whole.
I completely agree with James. As much as I've been enjoying playing Skyrim, you cannot base a ride on just one aspect of that particular franchise. It'd be like making just light hearted fun rides for children to ride in the harry potter universe, which would only be showing one aspect of HP. I do think Elder Scrolls could be an awesome ride though!

I liked your Twilight idea, but I have never played Skyrim (still holding out for Diablo III), so I have no idea if it would make a good attraction. However, if you're going "fantasy" why not go for the Lord of the Rings?

You need things with staying power, not current fads. That is why people have concerns about WWOHP staying around more than 20 years without a significant re-theme, and same for Avatar-land. Not saying Skyrim is not a great game (though I have not played it, I do not have the time for a bajillion hour game), but in 10 years how many people will still remember it? Or, a simpler question, without looking what games were popular in 2002?
Shannon You are my hero it is truely a wonder full game and very Fun it could be very cool could expand into a coaster i can See Dohvalkin The ride... Very Nice thought
Meh, not a Skyrim fan.

This could have great potential as a series built into a land...Great Idea!

Personally, I think the Idea of the skyrim world would be great (mages, dragons , etc) but not a ride on skyrim itself.
I'd much prefer Lord of the Rings over Skyrim.
^At least I've HEARD of that.
^For your information, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a role playing video game that is claimed to be one of the best video games of all time, even though its only been out around 5 months.
Thanks, Andy. You seem like a nice young man. Now get off my lawn, wouldja?!!! And take your TPI whippersnapper friends with ya!!! :)

Personal beef: Every year there is a new 'Greatest Game EVAR!' out. It might be Portal, it might be Skyrim, or Mass Effect, or Modern Warfare, or Halo, or whatever else. Just because a game is potentially the best that releases in a given year (like Skyrim was last year, by general consensus), it does not necessarily mean it's the best of all time. And that's the main reason why I say no to pretty much any but the most long lasting of video game properties going into a theme park. Movies have much more 'staying power' and much more accessablility for the general public at the current time.
The next Skyrim update on Xbox 360 supports Kinect, so the so-called Skyrim land could have an interactive Slash n' Dash game!
I just wanted to get my football back off your lawn, Mr. Gallagher :'(
Heh heh...good comeback, Andy!

If this is going to accurately represent the game, the ride should be filled with countless programming bugs and should also freeze constantly too.
