Matterhorn's lackluster refurbDisneyland: Leaving a lot to be desired.
From Essenn JayyWhat in the world took so long on the Matterhorn refurb? After waiting for more or less half a year on one of my favorite rides to re-open I was quite disappointed with the outcome. My two cents:

First of all, I do want to say I am a fan of the trains to some extent. They look nice, they run as smoothly as they can on a ride that has existed for over half a century, and they're pretty quiet. What I dislike is the little leg 'pockets' they force your feet in if you're sitting in any row other than 1 or 4. I'm a tall guy, but having been on Space Mountain in WDW and being able to sit very comfortably in those seats with the same configuration, I'm shock at the lack of room for the Matterhorn trains.
Second issue I have is that they didn't actually do much with the interior. It was mostly the exterior and the Yeti that had some modifications (mostly facial/audio). Not that I wanted anything to drastically change, but something along the lines of the small refurb Snow White's Scary Adventure got. Appropriate touch ups.
The lift hill's 'snow fall' projection is still just as messy as it ever was. Nothing was done to make it look better. On top of that, if you're riding the Fantasyland side, you'll still get a great view of the structure from the unfinished ceiling right after the lift hill. Really? That wasn't covered up?
When all is said and done, it's still an amazing ride, don't get me wrong. But with the amount of time spent on this, the flaws are surprisingly still there.
What are all of your thoughts on this? Was anyone else disappointed?
