Love it, and the best part is no Universal Express pass. The lines are bad enough as it is and I would hate to see another 2000 people in the parks with the Express pass. Posted July 9, 2012 at 10:14 PM

This sounds awesome, they needed a value resort. But...I think i'll still opt for the Royal Pacific.Posted July 10, 2012 at 12:39 AM

The original plans were for four hotels. Comcast (Universal's new parent) has a reputation for aggressive business moves. They see an opening since Disney World has been slow to add new E ticket attractions, and they are making the necessary room & attraction moves to exploit that opening. Absolutely love the themeing! If its cheap, I can live with not having express pass benefits as long as it keeps me close to the park for a reasonable price.Posted July 10, 2012 at 10:47 AM

based on the 2007 masterplan Universal filed I do believe that not just this new resort but the NEXT resort will have the water taxi service running through all the resorts currently. Posted July 10, 2012 at 12:09 PM

Speaking of water taxis...I think it would a nice touch if each resort had boats uniquely themed to it. I'm guessing the boats are multi-resort so it'll probably never happen, but would be cool. Posted July 10, 2012 at 1:06 PM
