going to kings island....
im going to kings island what should i ride?
going to kings island in mason ohio are their anyrides i Must ride?
Do Firehawk first, because that can be a pretty long line. Navigate the park backwards. You'll get back to Diamondback, and it's line is shortest in the afternoon hours because everyone rides it first. Flight of Fear can get a pretty long line too, but none of the other coasters get too long of a wait. "Action Zone" which is more like "Action Zone 10 years ago" is not too crowded. Pretty much, do Flight of Fear, Firehawk, and the others first, and Diamondback later. Beast, Vortex? Their lines never get above 10-15 minutes. The rides you must ride are pretty much what looks like it'd be a must ride. Delirium and Drop Tower are my 2 favorite non coasters there. My backwards system works well for me, but it really depends on how busy the park is that day.
Be sure to ride Son Of Beast. The line is REALLLY short.
^ HAHAHAHA Michael! ;)
Diamondback and Beast are key rides for that park. You wouldn't be remiss if you also took a few spins on Firehawk and Flight Desk. The rest in my opinion are gravy but those are the ones I'd recommend not missing!
You're determined to push it with the "Michaels," aintcha, Karly? :))
Well, at least you spell it correctly, unlike many who transpose the "a' and the "e."
In all seriousness, Ed...
The only MUSTS at KI are multiple rides on Diamondback and Beast...especially at night on the latter..it's a different experience. Most of the other coasters are okay examples of their types, and are enjoyable, but far from memorable. Hopefully you'll have a good day and get to do most everything. When are you going?
I'm a huge fan of Flight of Fear.....you might want to check that one out....

Jeff, is Flight of Fear at KI better than the one at Kings Dominion? KD's version is slow (after the initial launch), kinda boring, and way too brightly lit. I was very disappointed.
I'm not Jeff, but I don't remember much of a difference, except that KI's did not come to an almost complete stop on the brake, as KD's usually does. If I recall, it did seem a bit faster. But the memory ain't so great, and I've been to KD far more in the last decade than KI.

Thanks,
Michael, I totally agree with your assessment of KD's version. That near stop in the middle of the ride is a huge choke. I wonder if at some point in the past there was something to "look at" during that portion of the course, something to justify the stop?
Flight of Fear cries out for some Disney-caliber immersion and theming! What a wasted opportunity!
Geez, James...first Karly, now I gotta deal with you, too? What's a guy gotta do to get a "Mike" around here?
